I have experienced many couples asking me for guidance regarding the shoot month. Hence, I will be sharing some important tips for choosing the correct time to book the shoot session.
When to book the session?
The best time for booking such a session according to my experience is between the 28th to 32nd week or during the 7th month of pregnancy. By this time, most women’s baby bump will start to get rounded shaped, giving a perfect look for a maternity shoot. Also, exposure of the baby bump during the 8th month of pregnancy is strictly prohibited in many religious traditions. Therefore, you should book the session during the 7th month of your pregnancy, and it's the time when the lady is comfortable and active, hence, fully participating in the shoot. The last or the 9th month of pregnancy is not a really brilliant pick to book such a session because at this time the lady starts to get uncomfortable and tired, but yes I even had the clients who had rushed to the hospital to get the baby delivered, right after the shoot. But yes you should always discuss such details with your gynecologist, as it is very important.
Every pregnancy is different
Usually, the 7th-month is the perfect time to photoshoot pregnant woman. Since each lady and pregnancy is different, what works for someone might not work for you. Your feelings and body changes underwent at different phases of maternity will also be different, therefore deciding when to shoot maternity also depends on how and what you feel.
Expecting twins
The perfect time for you to obtain these beautiful maternity shoot pictures, if expecting twins is between 13 to 24 weeks or the start of your 2nd trimester. I do understand that it is too early but is still the most relevant and safe, as per the doctors.
