The journey from being pregnant to holding that piece of a miracle in your hands is a unique and heavenly one. You may not be able to dress in all the clothes that used to fit your skin but, still are really looking forward to having a newborn baby shoot, therefore, I present you with a guide of what you can wear to glorify your baby’s newborn shoot.
Dressing your baby
During the newborn shoot, your baby is the focal area and most time of the shoot is spent on the baby, and we photographers bring along with us the required setup, wrap, and costumes for your baby. You need not worry about the baby’s costumes, but all I would recommend you do is to dress your baby in a comfortable romper that is easy to undress, without disturbing the baby’s mood.
Dressing for the family pictures
As we do include the family photos in our newborn shoot, therefore I would guide you regarding what to wear during the time family pictures are being taken.
- Decide a color scheme: You need to decide on 2 or 3 color schemes for your family portraits. I would highly recommend you to avoid dressing in bright clothes as the focus will get shifted from your baby. Neutral colors such as light grey, light pink, light cream, and white would perform the best at the shoot. Black color is also suitable and can create wonders.
- Coordinate but don’t match: While picking every family member's clothes keep in your mind that the purpose is to coordinate, not match. You don’t require all the members to dress in the same cloth, and just need the attires to coordinate.
- Dress simple and light: As your baby would be spending a lot of time undressed, therefore, dressing in soft and light clothes is very essential. Dressing the bright or patterned or crafted cloths will actually distract the focus from the baby, because of which, the cute infant photos would not get obtained.
